Change the width of taskbar buttons in Windows 7
Super Taskbar aka Superbar in Windows 7 is a handy feature which can be set up to combine Taskbar buttons from the same program and never display their labels. However, the more applications you pin to taskbar, lesser the space remains over there. To get more space on the taskbar you can adjust the widths of taskbar buttons.
1. Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics
2. On the Right side pane, open the “MinWidth” entry. If it’s not there, create it by Right-clicking in the right pane, select New, then Select “String Value,” and name the object MinWidth.
3. Change the number in the “Value Data” field the width you want to set for the taskbar icons.
4. Click OK.
